Follow the 3 Easy Steps

Getting your license just got Easier

Are you ready to drive safely on your own?

Before you take your DMV test these behaviors should be part of your regular driving habits 100% of the time:

Getting Your License in 3 easy steps

□ Turning your head and looking left & right before every intersection and side street
□ Making regular mirror checks, especially whenever you are going to use the brake
□ Looking over your shoulder before all lateral moves (before lane changes, entering turn lanes & right turns)
□ Keeping a safe hand position on the wheel and making smooth turns and controlled curves
□ Making calculated lane changes (lane position, speed control, reading the mirrors, shoulder looks)
□ Comfortable with regular traffic situations and able to recognize and adjust for hazards
□ Stop position and making full stops
□ Demonstrating knowledge and recognition of the right of way
□ Creeping up for a view before you move into the intersection at a 2 way stop
□ Recognizing the need to slow and use extreme caution at an uncontrolled or yield intersection
□ Accepting the right of way while still using good caution at a 4 way or all way stop
